I have switched sides on major issues. Will Rogers and Mark Twain have both been credited with the same thought: What we believe is not the problem. It’s just that most of what we believe just ain’t so!

There will be painful disagreements. Nothing is wrong with that. What is wrong is getting mad at and even going to war with those who disagree with us. We are on this boat together! Let’s laugh at the mess we find ourselves in.

One fact we are forced to accept is that we die. Most of us find that reality to be unacceptable. Many believe in some spiritual afterlife. (Countless religions to choose from.)  A growing number don’t know and put off thinking about it. At 87 years for me, that doesn’t work anymore. (August 16, 2025.
